A gift to La Paz.
Fat Cat Valle de las Animas Tours is the operating brand of Visit South America — a company that has run VIP travel in Bolivia since 2012. We have taken travelers to the salt flats, the jungle and the Andes for more than a decade. This project is different. This one is for home.
Where we come from
Fourteen years of taking people places. Now, our own.
We started in 2012 running private, high-end operations in Bolivia, and in 2015 we became Visit South America: an agency and a DMC that today handles operations for dozens of travel agencies around the world. Along the way we became part of the largest community of travelers in South America and the largest community of content creators in Bolivia.
We know how a good trip is built because we have built thousands of them for other people’s brands. Fat Cat is the first one that carries our own name on the vehicle.

The founder
Jeffry Soria was born here. This is the thank-you.
After years of showing travelers the rest of Bolivia, Jeffry wanted to give something back to La Paz: to make the people of this city look as good as they are, and to export to the world a natural beauty that most visitors drive past without knowing it is there. Valle de las Ánimas is that beauty. Fat Cat is that gift.

The obsession
One valley. The most important attraction in La Paz. That is the whole plan.
Not the biggest catalog. Not twenty destinations. One place, known better than anyone knows it — every trail, every hour of light, every story the guides at the gate tell. When people search for Valle de las Ánimas anywhere in the world, we want them to find the people who love it most.

The people
Names and faces, not “our team”.
Every guide and driver you will meet, with the languages they speak and the certifications they hold, will be on this page — by name, with a real photo. The first name is up: Richard Martínez, our driver. The guides’ profiles go up as each one finishes their certification paperwork. Until then, the people in these photos are the people who will pick you up.
